Hudson “Sonny” Glover Born

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels - Webster on Dec. 21, 2023.

Hudson Glover Born, called "Sonny" by all, left this earth far too soon at 14 months old. Sonny had the most infectious smile that lit up the world and the impact he had in such a short while will ripple through time.

Many of us now have an immeasurable void in our hearts because of Sonny's early departure. He is survived by his mama (Jen), mommy (Carey), best big sister (Luella "Luey"), Mima and Papa, Grandma and Ralph, Grandpa and Grandma Wendy and Great Grandma D. He has many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who absolutely adored him, too. We have faith that Sonny is now alongside several of those who we had already lost such as Willow and his great grandparents.

Sonny was a lover of music, going outside, swinging and showing off his flexibility. But most of all - he loved his big sister, Luey and we believe he is now her personal angel. We hope that over time she continues to feel his presence in her heart and around her wherever she goes.

There were countless days spent with Sonny at Golisano Children's Hospital where the staff not only took top notch care of him, but they became family as well. We'll be forever grateful for their dedication and love toward us and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Despite all of Sonny's challenges, there was nothing that could hold him back from changing so many lives.

We cannot fathom the days ahead without Sonny, playing with his perfect hair and watching him rock his amazing extra chromosome. He opened our eyes to a new world and community that once he was here, we loved being a part of. We will continue on with the intention to honor his life and pay the joyfulness and hope forward each and every day.

Friends may call Friday, December 22, 2023, from 4-7PM at the funeral chapel (1031 Ridge Road, Webster). A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, 11AM at the University of Rochester Interfaith Chapel, 1045 Wilson Blvd, Rochester, NY 14627. Interment for family and close friends will take place prior to the service at Mt. Hope Cemetery at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Sonny's honor to either Flower City Down Syndrome Network or The Ronald McDonald House.

Lucas Christopher Wolske

12/03/2016 – 6/22/2017

Lucas Christopher Wolske, aged 6 and a half months, passed away with his parents by his side on June 22nd 2017. Lucas was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth and struggled with a congenital heart defect. He bravely fought through two open heart surgeries to become a Heart Hero, dubbed “Lucas the Lionheart” by his family.

Lucas loved spending time with his family, especially his older sister, Maddie. He loved being wherever the action was, whether on his play mat, in someone’s arms, or in his bounce chair. Lucas enjoyed watching the leaves from his stroller while on family walks around the neighborhood. He had a wonderful laugh that could be heard when his feet were tickled and a smile that captured the hearts of all that met him. Lucas loved colors and patterns, but mostly he enjoyed being held and sung to. His favorite song was “You are My Sunshine”. One of Lucas’ favorite activities was to play on his exercise mat while talking to his beautiful reflection in a mirror. He was a “talker” and loved sitting up to have conversations with anyone that would hold him.

Lucas is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy, big sister Maddie, his grandparents, his great-grandparents, his aunts and uncles, his cousins and many others. Lucas will always remain his parents’ sweet boy and Maddie’s little brother, and they will hold him again in heaven one day.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 29th from 4 - 6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, NY 14626 with a short service to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Flower City Down Syndrome Network or the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, in honor of Lucas.
